So, I’m doing it, my solo trip to London it’s actually happening.
Today I was looking around in google for directions for North Gower street, you know, just to see the neighborhood… Not at all because of a certain tv show involving consulting detectives and so on, and look what I found out.
Giuseppe Mazzini lived in Sherlock house!
You can read it in the blue plaque to the left.
For the non Italians out there: Mazzini was the father of Italy, one of the fathers, if you want, but the unification of my country, 150 years ago, was mostly his doing. He was a patriot, politician, journalist, and he formed the Giovine Italia movement while in exile in London… in North Gower street!
